Minoan Suit

For my History of Fashion class this semester, I have to come up with storyboards containing designs for "modern" clothes based on historic designs. Not exactly a new concept for me. Anyway, my friend Janea, who is also taking that class, came over and wanted to use my Prisamacolors, and that inspired me to draw something... and here it is: a "modern" ensemble based off of Minoan fashions. The bodice would be peacock blue velvet, and the skirt would be peacock green charmeuse. The Minoans didn't have either fabric, of course... but that's what makes it modern, isn't it?

I used Prismacolor coloured pencils for the clothing, and Caran d'Ache watercolour crayons for the skin and hair.
